Albert Hillsman "Hill" Michaels, Jr. '51

It was no surprise when Hill Michaels '51 became the inaugural recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2019. Hill was a beloved and resolute alumnus throughout his life, serving as President of the Alumni Board from 2006 to 2008. We are grateful for The Calvert Golf Classic trophy honoring Albert H. Michaels, Jr. which was first won in 2006. All ages of Calvert constituents and friends have enjoyed this fun outing.

Hill enjoyed years of success in the insurance business, adored the outdoors, and relished his time fishing or on a golf course. He adored all individuals, and we loved him back. His humor and enjoyment from storytelling began during those early childhood days spent on Tuscany Road along with his siblings, George S. Michaels '52, Betsy M. Willett '55, Lucy H. Michaels '61, Hill's son, Albert H. "Mikey" Michaels III '80 and many other family members. We celebrate Hill's lifelong giving and his forethought to leave a bequest to Calvert School years ago.
